Establishing your own E-commerce site is not like what it used to be. There are many competitions that are all too willing to get a large share of the pie. Every scheme and method you can find to increase your sales would be very helpful.
We have got to admit to ourselves. Most of us are into it for the money. We are not going to waste our time and effort just for the fun of it. Many sites would not wait until hell freezes over just to see their profits. While there are some who takes things casually there are always those who would rather see profit any given day.
It is general knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales. Traffic represents all the people that get a chance to see what you have to give. The more people who see your products the more people there would be to buy them.
Nobody puts up an E-commerce site that doesn’t expect profit. We have a startup capital that requires to be regained. With a regular traffic, we at least have a fighting chance to acquire that probability. Monetizing your traffic would optimize your chances of making the best out of it.

Destructive Attacks
There are two major categories for destructive attacks to a network. Data Diddling is the first attack. It generally is not instantly apparent that something is wrong with your computer when it has been subjected to a data diddler. Data diddlers will usually change numbers or files slightly, and the damage becomes apparent much later. Once a problem is defined, it can be very difficult to trust any of your earlier data because the captive could have potentially fooled with many different documents.
The second type of data destruction is outright deletion. Some hackers will easily hack into a computer and delete essential files. These inevitable causes’ major problems for any business and can even lead to a computer being deemed useless. Hackers can tear operating systems apart and cause abhorrent problems to a network or a computer.
The Importance of Network Security
Knowing how destructive hackers can be shows you the importance of Network Security. Most networks have firewalls enabled that block hackers and viruses. Having anti-virus software on each computer in a network is a must. In a network, all of the computers are connected, so that if one computer gets a virus, all of the other computers can be diversely affected by this same virus. Any network administrator should have all of the essential files on back up disks. If a file is deleted by a hacker, but you have it on back up, then there is no issue. When files are lost forever, major problems start. Network security is an important thing for a business, or a home. Hackers try to make people’s lives difficult, but if you are ready for them, your network will be protected.

The first minute of a visit to your Web Site is the most important. It will decide whether the visitor will stay around or move on to another Web Site.Your Web Site must meet certain criteria in the visitor’s mind in order to prove that your Web Site is worthwhile. Otherwise, CLICK and the visitor (potential customer, if you run an e-commerce Web Site) is gone.
The first 30 or so seconds (hopefully less than that) after typing in your URL or clicking on a link, the visitor waits for your Web Sit to download. In most cases if nothing shows up within the first 20-30 seconds the visitor will hit stop and move on to another Web Site. Having a fast loading front page is one way to ensure that visitors stay to see your content.
Tip: If your Web Site is graphics intensive, have an opening splash page on your Web Sitewarning visitors that your Web Site could take a little longer than usual to download and offer them an alternative, a low bandwidth version of your Web Site.
After the page has finished loading, the visitor will give it a once over to see if the Web Site looks professional, at least to an extent. If the front page is 50 screens long, has a purple background with green text, and a logo that looks like it was made in Windows Paint then the visitor will leave. However, your Web Site doesn’t have to look like CNN.com or News.com, as long as it provides good content. A very large percentage of Internet visitors will continue to surf your Web Site even if the design isn’t that great, as long as the information you have is good.
A visitor will then look around the front page to determineif your Web Site is useful. If they came looking for a specific piece of information, they’ll scan your Web Site.to see if there is a section/link where the answer to their question may lie. If they were just surfing the Internet not looking for anything specific, they’ll be looking to see if your Web Site is interesting, and whether it has content that is worth perusing. Either way, make sure that your front page makes it rather obvious what’s on your Web Site.If the visitor determines that the Web Site is useful or entertaining to them, they’ll try to get the hang of your navigation system and Web Site organization. If they get frustrated, more likely, they’ll soon leave, unless your Web Site provides some of the most compelling content on the Internet. This is where having a good navigation scheme comes into play. Your Web Site next goal should be to turn visitors who have stayed up to this point into ‘regulars.’ This can be done by putting up a notice on your front page saying “Updated ___ (weekly, daily, monthly etc.)”, having a newsletter, or simply asking people to bookmark your Web Site
This last step applies only toe-commerce Web Site
You’ll have to convert these newsletter subscribers or visitors who have stayed up to this point into paying customers.
Good luck!

With increasing frequency over the past three months, All the webmasters are in a thought of how they can database their growing site. This article won’t tell you everything that you need to do, step by step. But rather, it will introduce you to the technologies and options available to you in this endeavor.
1.) What does it take?
I’ll start by saying this: It isn’t going to be easy. Unless you have a knack for programming and database design, and a lot of experience to boot, you’ll either have to end up hire a database programmer, or spend hundreds of hours learning how to do it yourself. Before you start a project of this magnitude, ask yourself whether it is really necessary. Is the time and/or money that you invest in the databasing of the site going to pay off within a few months? Could you make-do with a couple of Server Side Include calls instead? Keep in mind that if you want to add features such as real-time inventory status, extensive product catalogs, or personalization, you have no choice but to go with a database.
2.) What are my options?
You have a few options open to you:
i.) Do it all yourself
If you have programming experience in a language such as PERL, you shouldn’t have many problems databasing your site, although you might have to spend a couple dozen hours learning to work with mySQL and design a database.
On the other hand, if you have little or no relevant programming experience, learning how to design a database, work with mySQL/mSQL/Access and program in a language like PHP will consume a considerable amount of time.
ii.) Do some of it yourself, and outsource some parts of it!!
If you’re short on time, and you have some programming experience you may want to consider doing some of the simpler tasks yourself and outsourcing the rest. Be aware though that good database programmers are not cheap. Be prepared to pay!!
iii.) Hire someone to do everything for you
If you have some cash to burn, hire a professional to do it all for you. Depending on your needs, you’ll end up paying for a complete database.
3.) The technologies that you have available
The first thing that you need to do is decide whether the site will be hosted on an NT or Linux/Unix server. I won’t get into the pros and cons here. I’ll sum it up like this: Doing databases on an NT server is easier than database programming for Linux, but it’s going to cost you a lot more.
4.) Links 2.0 may be all you need
Links 2.0 is a set of highly-customizable PERL scripts that allow you to maintain a Yahoo style directory. It allows you to add/delete/edit/approve sites via a web interface, add/create categories and sub-categories, and more.

Every now and then, us Web designers will have to face the fact that our design has been illegally copied. And the typical designer will want to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. This guide explains not only what steps you can take to prevent the theft of your designs, but outlines what actions you should take against anyone who copies your work.
Preventative Measures
Prevention really is better than cure. The best thing to do is to try to prevent the illegal reproduction of your design before it even happens. Some suggest that you should disable the users’ right click capability, place transparent images over your real images, “scramble” your source code, and more. However, none of these methods truly protect your content from being copied — and all do more to alienate your regular visitors than they do to protect your design. The absolute bottom line with copyright is: if you don’t work to be stolen, don’t put it on the Web. For some, it’s not even worth the risk. But for others, this approach is a bit radical, and the majority will try to think of some better ways to protect what’s theirs.
The most important thing you should always do is to label your work with the appropriate copyright disclaimers, trademarks, etc. It’s a great idea to have a “legal notices” page on your Web Site, to inform everyone in complete detail that copying someone’s work is a violation of international copyright laws, and that they will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law if they use your work without your express consent. Publishing this warning helps deter would-be design thieves, and helps reinforce to all users that you know your rights.
A good user community is not only essential to maintaining a good traffic flow; if your site is copied, and you have a good community of visitors, you can be pretty sure that someone will notice it and let you know. If you have a message board, create a thread in your forums to let your users know that any information they can provide about illegal rips will be greatly appreciated (or even consider providing some rewards for good leads) as an additional measure.
Doing a little work like this in advance won’t eliminate every threat of illegal copying, but will cut down on the number of cases you have to chase.

The main role of a Web Site is concentrate on creating global awareness for a company or individuals’ products and services. An effective business web design is one which communicates the true essence of organizations’ products and services to a global audience as well as delivers value in terms of informing complete product information in different formats to prospective customers. As modern Web Sites grow more and more complex, delivering value added services to Web Site visitors and the need to create intelligent and vigorous web based applications is growing by the day.
The days of creating huge graphical templates with less information seems to be over. Today’s internet audience demands quality information and content. Considering this, many of the popular global brands have redesigned their Web Sites to offer quality content in the form of information, entertainment and freebies for download.
A Web Site which is not visible on the search engines is hardly of any use. Adding effective content solves the double purpose of attracting traffic and gaining good positions on internet search engines.
The intention for designing a Web Site differs from company to company. Some do it for selling their products and services, some for brand promotion, some for offering effective customer support and some do it just for the sake of doing it.Before getting a Web Site
designed, it is necessary to clearly layout the mission and vision of the web presence and create content accordingly. Also, it is important to keep updating the Web Site on a continuous basis because stale content cannot help in repeat visits.
